The Flower Girl Dress
This pattern was chosen by Cindi because it looked exactly like the flower girl dress she loved at David's Bridal. She chose a linen-look washable rayon. The fabric was easy to sew and has a beautiful drape. The pattern was simple - two bodice and two skirt pieces. I had problems with the zipper and the armhole linings. But after removing the zipper one time, the second time was a charm. I decided to line the bodice with a fabric from Hancocks - it has a St. Jude pattern.
As the sewing progressed, I decided to make extra sashes for Hannah to have variety when she wears the dress. She has three sashes - melon, pink, St. Jude pattern. She can wear this dress to other party occasions.
I plan to use the pattern again for a light weight denim jumper - for winter wear with a turtleneck.
Hannah and Melissa loved the dress. Cindi also loved the dress and this made me happy....

The Father of the Bride
This photo was taken before the wedding; James and Keith are looking at the orange ties. I wonder what they said to each other; this was an important day for both of them.(Elijah has his back to the camera.)
This is one of my favorite images. James may be giving last minute encouragement to Cindi. They both have such sweet facial expressions. Cindi looks beautiful! Perfect dress!
This was taken after the wedding. Christi had a list of photos that Cindi wanted taken. Christi told James to pull his empty pockets to the outside. They were in fact empty!Always loving the Father of the Bride, I am the....

Wedding Images
Thanks to the wonder of digital photography, I have over eight hundred images to review and enjoy in the weeks and years to come. These three images are especially meaningful.
Christi was the official co-mother of the bride/wedding planner/florist/cheerleader/bridal shower hostess. Christi was such a great help to me - in all the crazy times. Thanks so much!! I love you dear sister!! Pictured with Christi is Noah, her youngest.
The cakes were made by Cindi's friend, Virginia. The bridal cake had a special flavored filling with a butter cream frosting; it was fresh and oh so delicious. Keith requested a fire engine on the groom's cake (he is a volunteer fireman in Wyoming.) As one can see in the image, the cake has a border of chocolate covered strawberries. These were the first to go. My grandson, Elijah, had quite a few of them.
Thanks to Christi and Virginia.....from the...

Toni Taught Me......
Being the pack leader for Toni has been both fun and hard work for James. He has read several books on pit bulls and also watched many hours of Cesar Milan - The Dog Whisperer.
I have learned from Toni.......
- Not all pits are cold hearted killers!
- Good grooming is vital to a pit's health and beauty - she wears a towel every morning after James' shower; she gets her ears cleaned and her teeth brushed.
- Petsmart is a great place to meet new dogs and people.
- Make time every day to play - with all your toys!
- Greet those you love with a kiss - as seen above.
- Bury some treats for later - any soft surface is appropriate. Reeses pieces are the best!
- Kids are fun - especially Hannah, Elijah, and David.
- A daily walk is good for the pit and the owner.
- Not all pits are cold hearted killers!
