Suggestions, Please!

This can happen when you own 2 pairs of black shoes!!!

We just spent 45 minutes looking for a work badge without success.  We have installed shelves, drawers and all manner of helpful devices to keep up with keys, badges, etc.   My theory is that after six decades on this earth, our brains are too full of useless information.  We are not able to remember the important daily details.

All suggestions will be welcomed.....
