It was new to me. (I had grown tired of Southern Living.)

It features writing  about gardens, houses, guns and dogs; not just a paragraph,

these stories last for pages.

Each issue usually has a detailed travel story with photos.

Oscars 2014

I didn't watch the Oscar awards on television.

 I saw this selfie the next day on news programs, entertainment programs, and on-line.

A few beautiful stars in Hollywood crowded into a small space and smiled!

It was quite a hit with the media

and with me also.

I wanted selfies of my family and friends. 

They are beautiful to me and make me smile!

Memphis received a light covering of sleet and ice this morning.   So, I had a day at home and decided to load another Bess Crawford mystery on my Nook.  So far, it has been interesting.  Bess spends most of her time in France as a battlefield nurse.  But, a mystery seems to find her and she must solve it.

The Travel Lady stayed home...

Since the name of the blog is Travel Lady, I have limited myself on content.
But not every day can be a travel day.
For Christmas, the Travel Lady and James stayed
at home and the travelers came to us.
Yes, we had children, in-laws, and grandchildren.
We visited my sister on Christmas Eve and these
photos were taken at her home.
