Baby Geese

It is always fun every spring to watch baby geese grow into full grown geese. Are baby geese called goslings? Our lake has had a great number this year due to the dam failure of the other two lakes during the Mayday Flood 2010. We received about 10 inches of rain in two days.

Book Note: I finished the Mary Sutter book in about a week; I couldn't put it down. It is a very good read but not for the faint of heart or weak of stomach. The setting is during the Civil War and Mary wants to be a surgeon. At the beginning of the book, Mary is working as a midwife in Albany, New York. She moves to Washington City (now D.C.) to be close to the wounded of the war and possibly to learn the skills of a surgeon......
