James and I just returned from a weekend trip to Devils Tower in northeastern Wyoming and to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. We returned to our temporary home in Sinclair, Wyoming this evening. By temporary, I mean that we will be heading home to Tennessee on Wednesday. Sinclair is the home of the bride and groom.
This image of Mt Rushmore was taken with a long range lens from the parking lot of our hotel in Keystone, SD. This is a profile of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and a partial profile of Abraham Lincoln. (From this angle the face of Theodore Roosevelt can not been seen.)
More great images will be posted...soon....I am a tired...
Mother of the Bride
I LOVE your photos! The kids really want to go to Mt Rushmore! Looks like you guys are having a great time! Are you guys driving straight home or are you going to stop and do more touristy stuff?
ReplyDeleteWe stopped in Nebraska and Missouri. There were two places that James wanted to check out - A sporting goods store and a boot store.
ReplyDeleteHe bought Nebraska jelly at the sporting goods store. And in Missouri, he bought a leather hat.
He felt guilty about spending money on himself - so I bought a Made in the USA - Wool Blanket by Pendleton. It was made in Oregon. Love it.
